ADPS To Be
The Model The ADPS
working committee, together with the consultants
Merz & McLellan and the ADWEA Regulation Bureau
representatives have been working together to
develop a template for the formal draft Interface
agreements to be used throughout the newly formed
Power & Water Sector.
This is an important step forward in establishing
the standards and commercial boundaries which will
be used to control and regulate the industry.
ADPS was selected for this exercise since it has
a wide variety of plant and equipment, and is one of
the most well established co-generation power
stations in the region, the working committee shown
above, comprises of Mr Liaqhat Hassan, Mr Murad
Sulaiman, Mr Patrick Goveas, and Mr Allen Conroy.
ADPS have been working on this document for quite
some time, and are keen to see it put into practice
as a test case at ADPS, once proven the document
will form the basis of the remaining agreements for
Bainounah Power Company including the Al Ain and
Taweelah A power stations.
Having a clear understanding of the boundaries,
and defining the areas of our companies’
responsibility is very important to the way in which
the business will operate in the future, both
physically and commercially.
The committee all agreed that this has been a
most interesting and worthwhile experience which
provided an opportunity for Bainounah Power Company
to perform a detailed objective appraisal and
"in-depth" analysis of both the corporate assets and
the company operating procedures. |
