The total combined output from Bainounah Power Company is 946 MW and 16 MGPD potable water, at the peak, this represents some 33% of the national demand for power and some 10% of the national demand for water, it is evident therefore that Bainounah Power Company plays an important part in meeting the present and future national power and water requirements.

Having recently completed our first two years of operation, we have reason to be optimistic about the future of Bainounah Power Company, at the start of our first year of business (i.e. 1st January 1999) we employed some 1000 people with an expected annual budget approaching Dhs. 800 million. During that two year period, we at BPC managed the sale of one of our original power and desalination stations at Taweelah A-1 to the consortiun of Total Tractabel. The sale of Taweelah A-1 resulted in the transfer of 228 of our staff and all related plant and equipment to the newly formed private company.

As with all commercially minded businesses, we shall be analysing our first 9 months business results very carefully, and making the appropriate management recommendations to improve the overall financial performance of the company thereby creating an attractive business and investment opportunity for the region.
